Supported Living
Residential Care
Our registered homes offer a welcoming, shared living environment for small groups and individuals – usually between one and six people. We also have a few larger homes that can accommodate up to nine residents. Every person has their own private bedroom, and we actively encourage them to make it their own – whether that means a fresh coat of paint, family photos, or treasured personal items that make it feel like home.
Some bedrooms come with the added comfort of an en-suite bathroom. The rest of the home is designed for shared living, with communal kitchens, lounges, and gardens where residents can come together to chat, cook, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.
Our team are on hand 24/7, ready to provide the right level of care and support to keep residents safe while helping them live as independently as possible. Day-to-day life is about more than just care – we encourage everyone to get involved in running the home, from cooking and food shopping to doing laundry and keeping spaces tidy. Social activities are a big part of life here too, helping to build friendships and confidence.
Where it’s appropriate, we also support residents in managing their own medication, giving them the skills and confidence to take greater control over their health and independence.
Above all, our homes are about community, choice, and independence – creating a place where people feel valued, supported, and truly at home.
01
Individual Flats or Apartments
Perfect for people who value privacy and autonomy, this option allows individuals to rent or own their own space while still receiving tailored support when required.
02
Shared Houses
Shared living brings together people with similar support needs in one household. It’s a great way to enjoy companionship, social interaction, and shared activities, while still maintaining some personal privacy.
03
Specialist Supported Accommodation
These are properties purpose-built or adapted for people with more complex needs. They may feature wheelchair access, sensory rooms, or on-site staff accommodation to provide 24/7 support if required.
04
Supported Living Schemes
These schemes combine individualised support with a sense of community. They often include purpose-built or adapted housing, communal areas for socialising, and on-site staff support, alongside access to additional services and amenities.
Ultimately, the best supported living arrangement depends on factors such as the person’s care needs, preferred level of social interaction, independence goals, and budget. At AQT, we work in partnership with individuals and their support networks to assess these factors and help them find the most suitable accommodation to meet their needs.
What type of accommodation is best for supported living?
Supported living is all about providing people with the opportunity to live as independently as possible while receiving the support they need. The type of accommodation that is best for supported living varies depending on each person’s needs, preferences, and level of independence.
